The other night, the girls set up a relay course through the house. They had to run though the kitchen, around the "eating table", across the living room, and finish in the hallway. Along the way, they set up obstacles that had to be jumped over. First is the baby doll crib that Great Grandpa Schmidt built, which is absolutely gorgeous, and thankfully sturdy. It's filled with various toys, notably lots of Pollys. Then we have a box of Kleenex. (I have no idea where they found that, since we typically use our sleeves to wipe our noses) Last is my Barn. I inherited it years ago from Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt. Me, my sister, and all my cousins played with this barn as we grew up, and I'll never get rid of it. It's nice to see it being put to good use, as a hurdle.
The girls ran around in circles for a good half an hour while I ignored the pile of laundry and watched a rerun of America's Funniest Home Video's.
We were all winners that night.
When does Big Brother start???
