MAY I TAKE YOUR PLATE?

Today was a different day for me at work, but first some background information...Up until recently, we (RiverStone Resort) would bring in a catering company to take care of our banquets, wedding receptions, etc. They would furnish the food and waitstaff for a price. Since RiverStone is trying to cut costs (like everyone) we have decided to do all of that in-house. Which means WE cook the food, WE serve the food, and THEN clean the entire mess up. I was asked if I would like to help out at a particularly important luncheon, and I jumped at the chance. Not only do I have years of banquet experience, but it would be a change of pace from my mundane job of answering phones.
This afternoon, we were put to the test and it went wonderful. Not only was I very cute in my white blouse, but the entire thing went of without a hitch. The food was awesome and nobody dropped their tray. We got kudos from a lot of people, and that was exactly what we were after. So although I'm a wee bit sore from using muscles that usually lay dormant, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
