FIRST PUMPKIN OF THE SEASON

There are a lot of reasons I love living in Tennesse. The mild winters and beautiful mountains definately make the list. But what I love most is Fall Harvest. Fall Harvest time is sort of like month long foreplay to Halloween (the best holiday in the universe). Everyone, from residental homes to local businesses, make spectacular displays of pumpkins, hay bales, and scarecrows. It's a celebration of fall, which is really very beautiful here. I know leaves turn colors across America at this time of year, but honestly, you haven't seen anything until you've seen an entire mountain of trees in all their orange, red, and yellow glory. It blew my mind the first year I lived here, and it still does ten years later. So although this pumpkin is small, we are proudly representing Fall Harvest.
